The game kicked off under light rain, and within a few minutes, Vikings take a one nil lead. Peter with a lovely finish from a keeper Parry. Very quickly the weather took a turn for the worst and after 12 minutes, the game was suspended. Vikings determined to not let another game against Hibs be called off while in the lead this season. Once the game restarted, we adjusted to conditions well creating some chances at the end of the first half, one of which Joe scored on the second attempt of the post. 2-0 to Vikings at halftime.

At the start of the second half after making three changes, Hibs came back into the game playing some nice football. As the weather picked up so did the Viking second half performance creating several more chances as Hibs pushed forward. Shout out to the Hibs goalkeeper, making two unbelievable saves in the second half.

Good performance from the Vikings, especially defensively, handled the tricky conditions very well. Need to be more clinical in front of goal but a good start to the year. Good luck to Hibs for the upcoming games.
