A good start by both teams led to a fairly cagey affair for the first 20 minutes. Vikings made a change with 10 minutes to go in the first half, bringing young striker Marco off the bench. He made a quick impact with a fast reaction finish from a keeper-parried save. Vikings 1 up at half.

The second half could not have gotten off to a worse start, with Captain Tomas receiving a second yellow for a competitive tackle—Vikings down to 10. With a quick reshuffle, the Vikings remained comfortable in possession and still looked dangerous on the counterattack.

However, Lions forward pressure soon told and some good Work from their striker Forced an error which made it 1-1. Again Vikings didn’t panic and still managed to create some chances on the counter. With two minutes to go Lions managed to grab the winner with a well-taken goal on the transition from a Viking attack.

Great performance, super proud of the Vikings boys for digging in until the end. Well played to the international Lions, good luck in the coming fixtures.
